Meet the Therapist

Hello! My name is Kim Nesbitt, and I will be your therapist should you choose to visit Body Therapeutics & Nutrition.

As you've probably already read, I have over two decades of experience as a massage therapist. I've been a yoga teacher for 20 years and studied in India. In addition, I hold a Master of Science degree in nutrition from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon.

Throughout my career I have worked at a hospital, various Chiropractic clinics, and Naturopathic offices. I'm certified for massage for the cancer population from Sloan Kettering Memeorial Research Hospital in New York City.

Working in the world of nutrition and overall health is a passion of mine and that's why I offer health coaching as an option.

I have been compared to a dog with a bone: not giving up until the situation is under control. My work has been called "targeted" and "thorough". After clients work with me for a while, they know I'll find the problem areas without being told.

When my clients get off of the table, I want to see them relaxed, walking upright, and without pain. Each situation is different, and I discuss what the plan will be after making my assessment.  I work light when warranted but I'm not a fan of giving a "fluff and buff". I can work deep but not just for the sake of working deep. I pay attention to what the muscles are telling me and adjust my depth from there.  My work is deliberate, and I love questions. I like to think of my relationship with my clients as a team effort bringing them back into health.
